Out of love for the truth and the desire to bring it to light, the following propositions will be discussed at belovedspear.org, under the presidency of the Reverend Dr. David Williams, Master of Divinity, Doctor of Ministry, and Blogger in Ordinary on the same at that place. Wherefore he requests that those who are unable to be present and debate orally with us, may do so by commenting or e-mailing.  In the Name our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

1. Proposition the first, that the doctrine of literal inerrancy betrays the revolutionary and transforming intent of the Protestant Reformation.
--
2. Proposition the second, that the doctrine of literal inerrancy is not itself supported by the witness of Holy Scripture.
--
3. Proposition the third, that by the selfsame witness of Holy Scripture, the doctrine of literal inerrancy is not necessary for salvation.
--
4. Proposition the fourth, that the doctrine of literal inerrancy requires that we cast aside the blessing of God-given reason and the clear and manifest evidence of God’s creation.
--
5. Proposition the fifth, the doctrine of literal inerrancy requires such radical extra-biblical assertions that it does violence to the intent of the authors of Holy Scripture.
--
6. Proposition the sixth, that the doctrine of literal inerrancy convicts the hearts of believers that Holy Scripture is a book of magick, turning them from its true and rightful purpose as our unique and reliable witness to Christ and his gracious redemption.
--
7. Proposition the seventh, that the doctrine of literal inerrancy subverts the rightful role of the Promised Paraclete, the very Spirit of our God, and is thus perilously close to blasphemy.
